Dutch House Davos is an independent, industry-led initiative intended to bring Dutch and international leaders, investors, founders and partners together in Davos.

Dutch House Davos is not organised by, affiliated with or endorsed by the World Economic Forum, the Dutch government or any other governmental authority.

We may collect personal data that you provide directly to us, including through application, contact, registration, partnership or speaker-enquiry forms.

Depending on how you interact with us, this may include:

• your name;
• job title or professional role;
• organisation or company;
• email address;
• telephone number;
• country or location;
• LinkedIn profile or other professional profile;
• areas of interest;
• dietary, accessibility or attendance requirements that you choose to provide;
• application, partnership or speaker information;
• correspondence and messages sent to us; and
• any other information you voluntarily provide.

We may also collect limited technical information when you use our website, such as your IP address, browser type, device type, language preference, pages visited and cookie preferences.

We do not currently offer public user accounts.

Please do not provide sensitive or special-category personal data unless it is genuinely necessary and we have specifically requested it. Where information concerning accessibility, allergies or dietary requirements may reveal health-related or other sensitive information, we will only use it for the relevant organisational purpose and where an appropriate legal basis applies.

When you provide personal data about another person, you are responsible for ensuring that you are authorised to provide that information and that the person has been informed about how their data may be used.

• review and respond to applications, enquiries and expressions of interest;
• assess potential participants, speakers, partners and sponsors;
• communicate about Dutch House Davos and its anticipated programme;

Publication of information about Dutch House Davos does not mean that the event, venue, programme or any application has been confirmed. The event remains subject to the necessary venue arrangements, permits, approvals and operational requirements.

Depending on the circumstances, we process personal data on one or more of the following legal bases:

• our legitimate interests in developing, organising, operating and protecting Dutch House Davos;
• taking steps at your request before entering into an agreement;
• performing a contract or other written arrangement with you;
• your consent, where consent is required or specifically requested;
• compliance with a legal obligation; and
• protecting the vital interests or safety of individuals where necessary.

Where we rely on legitimate interests, we consider whether those interests are proportionate and whether your rights and interests require additional protection.

Where processing is based on consent, you may withdraw your consent at any time. Withdrawal does not affect processing that took place before consent was withdrawn.

Submitting an application or expression of interest does not guarantee an invitation, speaking opportunity, partnership or right to participate.

Applications may be reviewed by authorised members of the Dutch House Davos team and, where necessary, selected advisers, production providers or programme partners involved in assessing or organising the relevant opportunity.

We do not intend to make decisions producing legal or similarly significant effects solely through automated processing.

We may contact you in response to an application, enquiry or existing relationship with Dutch House Davos.

We may also send relevant organisational updates about applications, invitations, programme changes, venue arrangements, postponement or cancellation.

Promotional or marketing communications will only be sent where we have an appropriate legal basis. You may unsubscribe from optional marketing communications at any time by using the unsubscribe option provided or by contacting hello@nldavos.com.

We may use strictly necessary and functional cookies to operate the website and remember preferences such as language, appearance and cookie choices.

Non-essential analytics, advertising or similar tracking technologies will only be used where permitted and, where required, after you have provided consent.

You can change or withdraw your cookie preferences through the cookie settings available on the website. Further information is provided in our Cookie Policy.

Dutch House Davos activities may involve photography, audio recording, video recording, podcast production or livestreaming.

Where recordings take place, participants will be informed through appropriate notices, invitations, participation terms or consent forms. Close-up interviews, podcast appearances and other featured contributions may be subject to a separate release or participation agreement.

Recordings may be used for editorial, documentary, promotional, social-media and communications purposes connected with Dutch House Davos.

Where reasonably possible, you may contact us before an activity if you do not wish to be included in general event photography or recordings. This may not always be possible for wide-angle or crowd images in which individuals are not the main subject.

We do not sell or rent personal data.

We may share personal data where reasonably necessary with:

• website-hosting, cloud-storage and IT providers;
• email, communications and application-management providers;
• event, venue, security and accreditation providers;
• production, photography, recording and livestreaming providers;
• professional advisers, such as legal and accounting advisers;
• selected programme, partnership or operational partners;
• public authorities where disclosure is legally required; and
• a successor organisation in connection with a restructuring, transfer or continuation of the initiative.

Service providers may only process personal data for the agreed purposes and must protect it appropriately.

We will not share application information with an unrelated third party for that party’s independent marketing purposes without an appropriate legal basis.

Some service providers or recipients may process personal data outside the Netherlands, the European Economic Area or Switzerland.

Where personal data is transferred internationally, we take appropriate steps to ensure that the transfer is permitted and that suitable safeguards are in place where required. These safeguards may include an adequacy decision, approved contractual clauses or another legally recognised transfer mechanism.

We keep personal data only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Privacy Statement, including to manage applications, organise activities, maintain appropriate business records and comply with legal obligations.

Retention periods may differ depending on the type of information and the nature of our relationship with you.

Unsuccessful application or general enquiry information will normally be deleted or anonymised when it is no longer reasonably required, unless you have agreed that we may retain it for future Dutch House Davos opportunities.

Information connected with a contract, payment, partnership or legal obligation may be retained for a longer period where required for administrative, tax, accounting or legal purposes.

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures designed to protect personal data against unauthorised access, loss, misuse, alteration or disclosure.

However, no website, email system or electronic storage method can be guaranteed to be completely secure. You are responsible for using appropriate care when sending information electronically.

Subject to applicable law, you may have the right to:

• request access to your personal data;
• request correction of inaccurate or incomplete data;
• request deletion of your personal data;
• request restriction of processing;
• object to processing based on legitimate interests;

You may lodge a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority, the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens. Depending on where you are located and where processing takes place, you may also have the right to contact another competent European or Swiss data-protection authority.

Our website may contain links to third-party websites, platforms or services.

We are not responsible for the privacy practices, security or content of those third parties. We recommend reviewing their privacy information before providing personal data.

Dutch House Davos is intended primarily for professional and business audiences and is not directed at children.

We do not knowingly collect personal data from children through the website without appropriate authorisation. Please contact us if you believe that a child has provided personal data to us improperly.

We may update this Privacy Statement as the website, event plans, application processes, service providers or legal requirements develop.
